Instead of the original July 13th release date, authorities have announced that Casey Anthony’s release date had been miscalculated. Anthony will now be released on Sunday, July 17th.

Although Anthony was found not guilty of first-degree murder, she was sentenced to four years in prison for four counts of lying to the police. Judge Belvin Perry also imposed a $1,000 fine for each count, saying the lies caused law enforcement to “devote extensive resources” in their search for Caylee.

Anthony will have to pay the full $4,000 fine, but did receive credit for the three years she served in jail while awaiting trial as well as credit for good behavior.

Broadcasters on HLN and writers on “The Caylee Daily” have speculated today that the new release date is a coverup to minimize the potential chaos involved in removing Anthony from jail.

Anthony’s parents, George and Cindy have received numerous death threats since the Tuesday verdict and it is likely that Casey herself will receive many upon her release.
