“Find Lauren” Headquarters Close, Search Continues

Posted on June 29, 2011

The official “Find Lauren” headquarters at McNutt Quad will close today after searches. In a statement on FindLauren.com, Lauren Spierer’s family expressed their gratitude toward everyone who has volunteered to search for Lauren.

“It’s you volunteers that have sustained us through these difficult weeks and given us the strength to carry on,” the family said.

The Spierers also noted that the closing of the search headquarters does not signify in any way that the search is over. The BPD has decided to take a more investigative approach to the case based on leads, as opposed to general searches

Rumors surrounding Jay Rosenbaum’s refusal to speak to investigators regarding Spierer were put to rest by his attorney, who said that Rosenbaum has been extremely cooperative with the police. Rosenbaum was allegedly the last person to see Spierer walking back to her apartment before she went missing.

According to the NewsOnLaurenS Twitter account, the Spierer family will hold a press conference this Friday at 11 am.
