If you are in Bloomington or the surrounding area this summer, you probably heard and felt the onslaught of thunderstorms and tornados.

There were 10 confirmed tornados throughout the state according to the National Weather Service. Even those spared by tornados were hit with heavy straight-line winds that toppled trees from the root, split utility lines in half, battered trailer homes, damaged structures, and left thousands without power.

Vectren, in Southern Indiana, estimated late Thursday that about 13000 were still without power.

The cleanup from this storm will likely be a long process, but luckily, no storm-related deaths have been reported.
