The entertainment industry was unsure if they were being “Punk’d” or not, but according to The Hollywood Reporter two sources close to “Two and a Half Men” have confirmed that Ashton Kutcher is the leading man to replace Charlie Sheen on CBS’ hit show.

The actor is said to be finalizing his contract but is expected to be “winning,” in Sheen’s words, as he is rumored to receive $2.5 million for joining the series.

Kutcher will not be playing Charlie Harper on the show. Sources told THR that “Two and a Half Men” creator Chuck Lorre has come up with a way to introduce Ashton to the show that will satisfy everyone.

The series is expected to start production immediately and will be part of CBS’ fall line up.
