SustainIU Celebrates Earth Week

Posted on April 21, 2011

SustainIU held an educational event Thursday evening outside the SPEA quandrangle. Local bike maintenance masters conducted demonstrations for the public on how to properly ride bicycles. Following the 90 minute session, visitors were taken to the Kelley complex for a free outdoor presentation of the film “No Impact Man.”

The event was part of SustainIU’s week-long celebration of Earth Week, hosted by the Student Sustainability Council. Other Earth Week events included a lecture on sustainability consumerism, a “trash talk” poetry slam, and a Sustainability Internship Symposium.
