Students in the Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, and Transgender community took a pledge of silence on Friday to bring awareness to, and reflect on, injustices they suffered because of their sexual identity.

Students taking the pledge gathered Thursday to kick off the event, where stories of previous sexuality-related issues were shared.

Pledge takers, unified by lime green T-shirts, silently marched from Showalter Fountain to the Collins Coffeehouse.
